Stay Well to Serve Well Resources
When we serve, we serve as a whole person - body, mind, and spirit - and each of those dimensions of our being has an impact on the others.

I have more difficulty displaying the fruits of the Spirit when I am physically tired and just need to get some rest.

When I’m mentally agitated or emotionally upset, I feel like I don’t even know how to pray.

Acts of services are difficult and draining when I am emotionally spent with compassion fatigue.

When I’m not feeling well physically, I can hardly think straight.

One of the simplest, but often overlooked, way to equip ourselves for effective Kingdom service is to make a decision to stay well in order to serve well.

God is the Master Creator of every person, so it is important to approach all health-related topics with a spirit of reverence and humility.  In all matters related to personal health and wellness, please do both of the following:
  • Seek God and ask Him for wisdom and direction in managing your personal health needs.
  • Seek wise counsel by consulting with your professional health care providers regarding information, resources and recommendations related to your personal health needs.
Information and activities that are a part of Good Health for Good Works are for educational purposes only and are not designed to be utilized outside of consultation with your professionally trained health care providers.  Please consult with your physician and/or health care providers prior to changing or discontinuing any of your existing health practices or beginning any new health practices.

"But the godly will flourish...Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green."
