Statement of Faith

Good Health for Good Works holds to the doctrinal position of the National Association of Evangelicals as outlined in their Statement of Faith (www.nae.net/about-us/statement-of-faith).

The Role of Healthy Living in the Christian Life

Our bodies are a resource - a vessel of the Holy Spirit and a tool that God can use to accomplish His work through us during our time here on earth.   Through the power of the Holy Spirit and the offering of our physical being to God's service, we can fulfill His calling for our lives and, as God's handiwork, do "good works that He has prepared in advance for us to do".  Christians have been forgiven and redeemed through Christ.  Knowing that we have been "bought with a price", we no longer claim the right to live as we please, but instead become good managers of the gift of good health that God has given us.  We honor God by taking care of our bodies so that they can be used in His service, for our enjoyment and for His glory.  Please see Ephesians 2:10, Romans 6:23, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (New International Version).

Please Remember...

God is the Master Creator of every person, so it is important to approach all health-related topics with a spirit of reverence and humility.  In all matters related to personal health and wellness, please do both of the following:
  • Seek God and ask Him for wisdom and direction in managing your personal health needs.
  • Seek wise counsel by consulting with your professional health care providers regarding information, resources and recommendations related to your personal health needs.
Information and activities that are a part of Good Health for Good Works are for educational purposes only and are not designed to be utilized outside of consultation with your professionally trained health care providers.  Please consult with your physician and/or health care providers prior to changing or discontinuing any of your existing health practices or beginning any new health practices.
